Manual abstract: user guide IROX PE-SOS2

Detailed instructions for use are in the User's Guide.

[. . . ] The PE-SOS2 is also equipped with a panic alarm with which you can attract the attention of passers-by quickly and effectively if this should be necessary. With the chip that is supplied with the device, you can also secure bags or a briefcase, making it easier to prevent theft or loss. The main idea behind a pedometer is to make you aware of how many steps you make a day and to motivate you into additional healthy movement behaviour. Common speech in Asia says: "He who walks 1000 steps a day will live to be 100 years old". [. . . ] This will only happen, however, if a setting is envisaged. Read the corresponding descriptions on this to find out the exact procedure here. If you do not press any key for more than 1 minute in the two modes KCAL/ODO and SETCAL/DAYCAL, the device will automatically switch back to the time display (STEP/TIME). In each of the modes above, the kcal used compared to the entered target calories are displayed graphically and in 10% steps at the top edge of the display in each of the above modes. More on this in Chapter 4. 4 ENGLISH | 9 - 8 | ENGLISH 4. 1 The function step and time (STEP/TIME) In this mode, you can see the total number of steps measured since the last reset and the time (quartz watch). The steps displayed can be reset to zero manually in this display. For this purpose, press and hold the key `UP/CLR' for approx. The distance such as kcal and the DAYCAL (daily calorie counter) are thus also reset to zero at the same time. The pedometer can add and display up to 99, 999 steps. Please note: - Some information (distance, kcal, kcal target) require the input of your personal details (step length and weight). - Setting of the time and personal details Please press the key SET briefly. As soon as the 12-hour or 24-hour display flashes, you can set it with the keys UP or DOWN (quick change of the setting: hold the UP or DOWN key pressed). With the SET key, you move to the next setting according to the following sequence: 12/24-hour > Hours >Minutes > Your step length in cm > Your weight in kg (10 150kg can be set) After the last setting in the sequence, the setting is completed and you will reach the step and time display again. 10 | ENGLISH Measuring step length To determine your step length, proceed as follows: Walk 10 steps like you normally would, then measure the distance covered and divide it by ten. 6. 2 m / 10 = 0. 62 m (input step length: 62 cm). 4. 2 The function distance and stopwatch (DIST/STW) The distance is calculated via the number of steps and the step length entered and displayed in 0. 00 km. The smallest distance displayed is thus 10 metres. Resetting to zero in the STEP/TIME mode (see Chapter 4. 1). The stopwatch measures your time up to a maximum of 23 hours 59 minutes. The key functions in this display are: SET : Starting/Stopping the stopwatch UP/CLR : Resetting of the stopwatch to zero (only works if the stopwatch has been stopped) MODE : Continue in another function (the stopwatch can continue to run in the background) ENGLISH | 11 4. 3 The function calories and odometer (KCAL/ODO) The kcal are calculated via your steps and your weight and displayed in 0000. 0 kcal. [. . . ] - Please keep the user's manual and other documents delivered with the device stored carefully so that you can reference them at a later point if necessary. - Please use only new batteries and never mix old and new batteries. - Please also remember that old batteries should not be disposed of with household waste but should be handed in at the designated collection centres. - Important: With all Irox appliances, all disposal fees in Switzerland (vRG; advance recycling fee) and in the EU (WEEE) have been paid. 14 | ENGLISH ENGLISH | 15 7.
