Thank you for purchasing the i. Sound® PocketDock and AC adapter.  [. . . ] To use the AC adapter with other models of iPod,  use the cable that came with your iPod to connect to the USB input of the AC adapter. For charging times,  please refer to the instruction manual that came with your iPod. 

POCKETDOCK: The PocketDock allows you to sync data and charge your 2nd gen iPod shuffle. Connect the USB cable from the PocketDock to any computer with a USB input. Dock your 2nd gen iPod shuffle by placing it onto the PocketDock. The PocketDock will charge your 2nd gen iPod shuffle whenever your computer is powered on. The PocketDock,  when used with a computer pre-loaded with iTunes,  will allow for music and data transfer/syncing.
