System Description General Description MusicTel-Net is a unique Music and Messaging on Hold solution that can be controlled via the LAN. It can be remotely programmed through IP connectivity and can hold one MP3 music/messaging file. The MusicTel-Net offers up to 15 minutes of recording space. NOTE The MusicTel-Net+ is able to store up to 10 MP3 files. It provides up to 30 minutes of recording time. MusicTel-Net Utility Program is used for configuring and maintaining the MusicTel-Net device. The user-friendly Music-Net application is capable of uploading MP3 file to and downloading it from the MusicTel-Net device. NOTE The Music-Net+ Utility Program is used for configuring and maintaining the MusicTel-Net+ device. MusicTel-Net/Net+ Installation and Operation Manual 1-1 Introduction Music-Net provides user adjustments of the volume level, flash memory usage statistics and comments for downloaded MP3 file. It can perform full maintenance of the MusicTel-Net configuration information, using an IP connection. Main Features Remotely programmable over IP Capacity of 1 MP3 music/messaging files provides: · · 15 minutes of MP3 files (when using the recommended format) 2 Audio outputs (one for an 600 and one for an 8 connection) Programmable via Network or RS-232 connection. 1. 2. 2. Physical Description The MusicTel-Net (see Figure 1-1) has been designed to fit in the same housing as the rest of the Music family of products. The Audio output connector is Mono only. 1. 2. 3. 1. 2. 3. 1. Technical Data Programming Cable Specification The MusicTel-Net comes with a special programming cable. Music-Net Hardware and Software Requirements The PC on which the Music-Net application is installed should have the following hardware and software: Pentium III or higher 64 MB RAM Ethernet adapter 50 MB free hard disk space Sound card (Recommended) Windows operating system: Windows 98, Windows 2000 Pro, Windows XP Home/Pro edition. Unpacking The following table details the contents of the MusicTel-Net package. NOTE Should the package be damaged or items from the packing list be missing, contact your distributor directly. No. Install the MusicTel-Net utility program on the PC. To install the MusicTel-Net utility program on the PC: 1. Insert the CD in the Drive (Auto-Play CD). Run the MusicTel-Net utility installation program (SETUP. EXE). Connect MusicTel-Net via its RS-232 socket to the COM port of the PC. Connect the Power Supply to MusicTel-Net. Run the Music-Net program from Start/Programs/Music-Net. When Communication Selection screen appears (Figure 2-2), select the Com Port radio button and select relevant Com port for the local connection (make sure that you have chosen the correct COM port). Figure 2-2: Communication Selection Screen 7. Fill in the IP address information (IP Address, Subnet Mask and Gateway IP Address) and click on the Set IP Address button. A confirmation message appears (Figure 2-3).
