T Open the cover of the filler funnel for pre-ground coffee. FILL PRE-GROUND / COFFEE READY T Place one level measuring spoon of pre-ground coffee into the filler funnel. T Close the cover of the filler funnel for pre-ground coffee. 1 COFFEE, the pre-set amount of water flows into the cup. COFFEE READY is then displayed. Hot milk and milk foam There are two options for preparing hot milk or milk foam: Z Milk portion z U The preset quantity of milk is then prepared. 37 4 Preparation at the touch of a button Z Milk n U Milk is prepared until preparation is interrupted by pressing any button. Foaming and heating milk with the Professional Cappuccino Frother Precondition: COFFEE READY is displayed. T Take the protective cover off the frother. For a milk carton/bottle use the long pipe, for a milk container the short pipe. T Insert the other end into a milk carton/bottle or connect it to the milk container. T Place a cup under the frother. T Turn the selection lever of the frother to the milk foam position p. E If you want to heat the milk, set the selection lever of the frother to the milk position t. ö T With the selector switch select the milk portion symbol z. Preparation stops automatically when the pre-set amount of milk is reached. To ensure that the frother works perfectly, you should rinse and clean it regularly. The description for this can be found in Chapter 6 `Maintenance ­ Cappuccino frother'. 38 4 Preparation at the touch of a button Foaming milk with the Easy Cappuccino Frother Precondition: COFFEE READY is displayed. T Take the protective cover off the frother. For a milk carton/bottle use the long pipe, for a milk container the short pipe. T Insert the other end into a milk carton/bottle or connect it to the milk container. T Place a cup under the frother. ö T With the selector switch select the milk portion symbol z. Hot water Hot water can be prepared in two ways: Z Hot water portion a U The pre-set amount of water flows into the cup. [. . . ] T Put the grinder on a coarser setting or use coarser pre-ground coffee (refer to Chapter 2, `Preparing and using for the first time ­ Adjusting grinder'). T Deactivate the CLARIS filter cartridge in programming mode. T Prepare a coffee speciality. Coffee only comes out in drips when it is being prepared. Water hardness cannot be adjusted. Coffee or pre-ground coffee has been ground too finely and is blocking the system. [. . . ]
