COFFEE READY Energy-saving mode In the programme item ENERGY you can permanently set an energy-saving mode (Energy Save Mode, E. S. M. ©): U U U ENERGY SAVE NO U Your IMPRESSA is constantly ready for use. U All coffee and milk products as well as hot water can be prepared without having to wait. ENERGY SAVE LEVEL1 (Energy saving of up to 30%) U Your IMPRESSA is only constantly ready for use for coffee products and hot water. U The machine must heat up before milk preparation. ENERGY SAVE LEVEL2 (Energy saving of up to 40%) U Approximately five minutes after the last preparation your IMPRESSA switches to the energy-saving temperature and is not ready for use. U The machine must heat up before the preparation of coffee, hot water or milk. 28 4 Permanent settings in programming mode Example: Proceed as follows to change the energy-saving mode from ENERGY SAVE NO to ENERGY SAVE LEVEL1. The pump is very quiet. Cause/Result The connector of the cappuccino frother may be blocked by milk residues or limescale fragments loosened during descaling. Action T Remove the cappuccino frother. T Unscrew the black connector with the aid of the hexagonal hole on the measuring spoon for preground coffee. [. . . ]
