ON SCREEN OFF: Camcorder's display (except the date, time and time code) is not shown on LCD or connected TV. [LCD]: Camcorder's display is shown only on LCD and not on connected TV (except the date, time and time code). LCD/TV: Camcorder's display is shown on both LCD and connected TV.

ON SCREEN setting: For playback sound, tape speed and tape running.
DATE/TIME setting: For date/time.
Playback Sound
During tape playback, the camcorder detects the sound mode in which the recording was made, and plays the sound back. Select the type of sound to accompany your playback picture. According to the menu access explanation on pg. 24, select "SOUND MODE" or "12BIT MODE" from the Menu Screen and set it to the desired parameter.
