Unlock the first pair (either A or B in the illustration on the right), and then unlock the two remaining diagonally opposite buckles.

(2) To open a buckle, hook your finger on the lower side of the tip of a buckle lever as shown on the right, and lift the buckle up gently.

(3) After unlocking the four buckles, hold the rear lid of the Case firmly with both hands and open the buckles all the way to separate the rear lid from the front lid.

Attaching the zoom ring provided with the optional waterproof port on the lens
To control zooming (or to control manual focusing when the mounted lens is a 50 mm macro lens), attach the zoom gear, provided with the optional waterproof port, to the zoom ring on the lens. For details on attaching the zoom gear, refer to the optional waterproof port's instruction manual.

The lock lever is used to lock the zoom gear.
CAUTION : · Confirm that the zoom gear is locked firmly with the lock lever.
· Confirm that the zoom gear is correctly installed on the lens by referring to the Waterproof Port's instruction manual.

Attach the digital camera to the camera table
Before loading the digital camera in the Case, remove the camera table inside the front lid of the Case and attached it to the digital camera. (1) Attach the camera table to the tripod seat on the bottom of the digital camera by means of the tripod screw hole on the digital camera.
(2) The camera table has fixed top-bottom and front-rear orientations. Refer to the illustration on the right to ensure that you attach it with the correct orientation.

Insert the digital camera in the Case.
Load the digital camera in the Case after checking the following: · Is the digital camera turned OFF?· Is a medium loaded in the digital camera?· Have the strap, lens cap and filter been removed from the digital camera?· Is the camera table provided with the Case attached to the tripod screw hole on the bottom of the digital camera?· Has the viewfinder eyecup of the finder of the digital camera been removed?· Is the zoom gear attached to the camera lens?· Is the camera's LCD monitor stored on the camera side?· Is the mode dial of the camera controllable?

Seal the Case.
(1) Gently align the rear lid with the front lid. (Do this gently so that the O-rings do not slip out of the grooves. )
(2) Engage the buckles with the hooks (two diagonally opposite buckles first, then the other two diagonally opposite buckles)

Hook one pair of diagonally opposite buckles, then hook the other pair.

(3) Push the buckle lock/unlock levers in the direction of arrows to seal the Case.

CAUTION : Seal the Case by pushing all four buckle lock/unlock levers down in the
direction of the arrows. If one of the buckles is left open or unlocked, the Case will not be sealed properly and water leaks will occur.

Check the operation of the loaded camera.
After sealing the Case, check that the camera functions normally. · Operate the power switch lever on the Case and confirm that the camera is turned ON/OFF. · Turn the mode dial knob on the Case and confirm that the camera mode switches properly. · Operate the shutter lever on the Case and confirm that the camera shutter is released. · Operate the zoom dial on the Case and confirm that the camera's lens is controlled. · Operate other control buttons on the Case and confirm that the camera functions properly as intended.
CAUTION : · If the camera does not function properly, remove the camera and reload it,
starting from "Check the digital camera, " on page E-16 of this manual. · After loading the camera in the Case, confirm that the Case's mode dial can be rotated. If not, the Case's mode dial may not be positioned properly on the camera's mode dial. Set the mode dials properly.
