Whilst the machine is switched on, fit the filter holder by lifting into its housing and turning anti clockwise 40-45 degrees as far as possible, without over-tightening. Allow the filter holder to warm up for one minute, then remove. Place one measure of espresso coffee into the filter and press down lightly using the presser (two measures for two cups). Place a cup under the filter holder (it is advisable to pre-warm the cup on the cup warming area). Position switch C to the coffee brewing symbol ( ). To stop the flow, return the switch back to the central position. NEVER REMOVE THE FILTER HOLDER WHILE THE COFFEE BREWING/STEAM SWITCH ( C ) IS ON. WARNING If small spurts of steam or water come out of the filter holder while waiting for the steam, this is normal. Position a cup under the Maxi Cappucino device then pull the steam lever down; at first a little water will come out immediately followed by a strong jet of steam.
