About the supplied remote control
Compared to standard remote controls, the remote control supplied with this receiver has several operation modes. These modes enable the remote control to control other audio/video components. In order to effectively use the remote control it is important to read the operating instructions and obtain a proper understanding of the remote control and how to switch its operation modes (etc. ). Selecting the input mode
If you have selected a component connected to the CD/DVD, VIDEO 2, VIDEO 3 or DVD/6CH jacks, make sure that the input mode setting is correct for the type of audio signal to be used. 8
6 Press the SETUP key to exit the SET UP mode.
Input level adjustment (analog sources only)
If the input level of an analog source signal is too high, the CLIP indicator will blink to indicate the source signal. Adjust the input level.

Selecting MD/TAPE
Select the source name corresponding to the component connected to the MD/TAPE jacks. The initial factory setting is "TAPE". To change the source to "MD", follow the steps below: Hold down the MD/TAPE key for more than 2 seconds.

Selecting the speaker system
Press the A SPEAKERS B key to select the speaker system to be used. A ON B ON : : Sound from the speakers connected to the SPEAKERS A terminals on the rear panel. Sound from the speakers connected to the SPEAKERS B terminals on the rear panel. No sound will be heard from the subwoofer. Sound from both the speakers connected to the SPEAKERS A and B terminals on the rear panel. Use this setting when listening with headphones for stereo sound in all playback modes. The display segments are different depending on the type of input signal. The indicator for the speakers you want to use should be lit.
