Double Flange Ear Gels The double flange ear gels can assist those with harder to fit ears because of their shape. For example, you might choose double flange ear gels if you are a passenger on an airplane and want to block out as much ambient noise as possible. With your thumb and index finger, squeeze the ear gel and pull it off the ear nozzle with a slight twisting action. There is an indicator line on the fitting inside the gel which lines up with an indicator line on the headphone's ear nozzle. Press the ear gel onto the headphone nozzle.
