Setting Picture Size Choose a picture resolution. This setting remains until you change it. Icon Options 6. 1 MP--for printing up to 30 x 40 in. 5. 4 MP (3:2)--ideal for printing 4 x 6 in. (10 x 16 cm) prints, emailing, Internet, screen display, or for conserving space.

Compression Choose a compression. This setting remains until you change it. The setting is displayed in the status area as "S" or "F. " White Balance Choose your lighting condition. This setting remains until you change it. The setting is displayed on the right side of Liveview if set to Daylight, Tungsten, or Fluorescent.
Standard (default) Fine
NOTE: The Fine setting renders a larger file size.
Auto (default)--automatically corrects white balance. Daylight--for pictures in natural lighting. Tungsten--corrects the orange cast of household light bulbs. Ideal for indoor pictures under tungsten or halogen lighting without flash. Fluorescent--corrects the green cast of fluorescent lighting. Ideal for indoor pictures under fluorescent lighting without flash. Unavailable in Auto, Scene, or Video modes.

Setting Exposure Bracketing Interval Choose an exposure bracketing interval. P, A, S, M, C: This setting remains until you change it or take pictures. Auto, Scene: This setting remains until you turn the Mode dial. Exposure Metering Evaluate light levels at specific areas of a scene. This setting remains until you change it. The setting is displayed on the right side of Liveview if set to Center-weight or Center-spot. Icon Options +/- 0. 3 EV (default) +/- 0. 7 EV +/- 1. 0 EV See Using exposure bracketing, page 35.
Multi-pattern (default)--evaluates lighting conditions throughout the image to give an optimum picture exposure. Center-weight--evaluates the lighting conditions of the subject centered in the viewfinder. [. . . ] Such repair or replacement is the sole remedy under this warranty. If it is necessary to replace the entire product, it may be replaced with a remanufactured product.
