Ensure that the power plug is at all times easily accessible, so that it can be quickly and easily removed in the event of potential danger. Do NOT connect the string of lights to a wall socket if it is still in its packaging. Use only spare bulbs that correspond to the details given in the technical data. [. . . ] Keep children under 3 years of age away from the string of lights. They could swallow small pieces from it!Insert the plug of the connector power pack q into a wall socket to take the string of lights into use. If the string of lights does not emit light: Check that each individual bulb r is sitting firmly in its pinned socket y and the plug of the power pack q is firmly held in the wall socket. Should individual lamps not emit light: Replace them as described in the following. First, remove the connector power pack q from the wall socket. The string of lights is "live" for as long as the connector power pack q is connected to the power source. After immediate use, first allow the bulb to cool down. Do not attempt to screw the bulbs out and do not use any tools. If you do, the bulb glass could splinter. Remove the bulb r together with the pinned plug t from the pinned socket y. Using more powerful bulbs, or those with different wattages, could lead to the other bulbs becoming too hot or to an overload of the power cable. Insert the new bulb r complete with its pinned plug t into the pinned socket y. The pinned plug t is at the lead, thus the bulb cannot be incorrectly inserted. Check to ensure that the string of lights is undamaged and all parts and remnants of the packaging are removed from it. Insert the connector plug w into the connector power pack q. Push the retainer nut e over it and screw it tight. Re-insert the plug of the connector power pack q into the wall socket. If the string of lights does not emit light, check to ensure that the new bulb is correctly seated in the socket y. This string of lights is maintenance-free, no effort is required on the part of the user. [. . . ] After immediate use, first allow the bulb to cool down. You can now clean the string of lights with a dry cloth. Do NOT use liquids, they could permeate into the pinned socket. Also, to avoid damage to the plastic surfaces, do not use any form of detergent. [. . . ]
