You are prompted to confirm/cancel your selection. Click on [YES] in order to delete the printer driver. 4 Click on "Close". The program group is deinstalled. 3-11 3 3. 7 Installation for MS-DOS Installing the printer driver MS-DOS versions 6. 2 or higher (except MS-DOS 7. 0) are supported. 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 . Make sure that the printer is connected to your computer locally or via a network. Switch on the computer and start MS-DOS. Place the PagePro 4100E printer driver CD in the CD-ROM drive of your computer. Enter, for example: d:\ (d = corresponding letter of your CD-ROM drive) Change to the directory which contains the installation program. Enter: cd Drivers\Pp4100\Dos Start the installation program. Enter: install Select the option required and press ENTER. AUTOEXEC. BAT file modified!One command line was added to the AUTOEXEC. BAT file. The purpose of this command is to ensure that the Status Monitor is automatically loaded upon switching on the computer or executing the AUTOEXEC. This online manual contains extensive information on the following topics, among others: l l l l l Working with the printer driver. Working with the printer's control panel. Caring for and maintaining your printer Identifying and rectifying problems. You need the Adobe Acrobat Reader software in order to be able to read the online manual. . Install Adobe Acrobat Reader The PagePro 4100E printer driver CD contains an online manual in PDF format. However, if you do not already have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your computer, simply start the online manual. At a certain point you will then be asked if you wish to install Adobe Acrobat Reader. The online manual is not automatically installed on the hard drive of your computer when installing the printer driver. Therefore, to start the online manual you have to load the PagePro 4100E printer driver CD into the CD-ROM drive of your computer and start the online manual from there. You can also copy the online manual to the hard drive of your computer. The PDF file of the online manual can be found in the "Manual" program group of the PagePro 4100E printer driver CD. 4-1 4 4. 2 Start the online manual as follows: Starting the online manual The online manual is not automatically installed on the hard drive of your computer when installing the printer driver.
