Controller Setup : 2. 2 Basic combination editing Banks INT-A­INT-D of the TRITON-Rack contain a wide variety of combinations that use the preloaded programs (bank INT-A and INT-B) and the preset and preloaded user arpeggio patterns and effects. You can edit these combinations, or create your own original combinations from an initialized state. Programs using sample waveforms/multisamples that you sampled in Sampling mode (or loaded into memory in Disk mode) can also be used in a combination. A combination that you edited or created can be written into one of 1, 664 combination memory locations in banks INT-A­INT-E or EXB-A­EXB-H. Combinations can also be stored or organized on external media such as floppy disk in Disk mode. The programs assigned to each timbre can sound in three ways: as a layer, a split, or a velocity switch. A combination can be set to use any one of these methods, or to use two or more of these methods. Layer A setting that causes two or more programs to sound simultaneously when you play a note on a connected keyboard is called a Layer. Program A Program B Layer: Two or more programs sound simultaneously. Split A setting that causes different programs to sound when you play in different areas of a connected keyboard is called a Split. Program A Program B Split: Different programs will sound in different areas of the keyboard.
