[. . . ] Make sure the plate lock mechanism cables are not twisted or kinked. Pull the safety lever (1) back and hold it while feeding the plate (2) through the channel. Hold the plate lock mechanism with the flat plates facing the inner side wall of the shelf (cables facing the outer side wall) and begin to feed it into the channel between the walls. First person: pivot the release handle (1) on the side of the stand down and hold it there. [. . . ] Remaining three screws: Attach as follows: left front (2), left rear (3), and right rear (4). Slide the scanner lock (on the left side of the scanner) to the UNLOCK position. When moving the scanner stand with the scanner attached, be sure the scanner is attached to the underside of the stand with all four screws. Do not tilt the stand where the scanner top could shift the weight of the scanner. Attach the scanner power supply (see "Accessories in Scanner Box" on page 14) to the keyhole inside the back of the stand. Lift the ADF paper tray, then extend the legs and lower the tray into position. Connect the scanner power cable (see "Accessories in Printer Box" on page 5) to the scanner power supply. Then connect the other end to the power strip. NOTE If you are installing the optional finisher with the system, see the instructions provided with the finisher. Attach the power strip (see "Accessories in Printer Box" on page 5) to the lower left side (viewed from the front) of the scanner stand using the two screws provided in the printer box. When using the handle grip to move the scanner stand, be careful not to pinch the scanner power supply cable. You can install both drivers and use either one depending on your application.
