To a wall outlet NOTE: One blade of the plug and outlet is wider. AC SOCKET · Replace the batteries when the POWER lamp dims or when the player stops operating. Replace all the batteries with new ones. Before you replace the batteries, be sure to take out the CD from the player and remember to check the Battery Safety Instructions on Page 3. If the CD does not play on batteries, this means the batteries are almost used up. But the radio may continue to play on these weak batteries because it uses less power than the CD player. 1. Connecting the AC power cord Insert one end of the supplied AC power cord into the socket located at the rear of the player, and the other end to the wall outlet. Insert 6 size "C" batteries (not supplied) into the battery compartment. To use the player on batteries, disconnect and remove the AC power cord both from back of the player and the wall outlet. 2. To Adjust the volume Stop playback Press or Adjust VOLUME control STOP PLAY/PAUSE The PLAY/PAUSE lamp will flash during pause. Press again to resume play after pause. Pause playback Go to the next track Go back to the previous track Locate a point in a song FORWARDS BACKWARDS BACKWARDS FORWARDS or , press and hold down while playing until you find the point. Insert your headphones (not i nc luded ) p l ug i n to th e PHONES jack (at the left side of the set). Lift the right corner of the CD DOOR (press STOP first).
