(If the STATUS menu does not include a second page, pressing the STAT button a second time will exit the menu. ) The 5. 1 BYPASS listening mode is now called the 5. 1a BYPASS listening mode. Likewise, the 5. 1 BYPASS STATUS menu is now called the 5. 1a BYPASS STATUS menu. Level meters are no longer available on the 5. 1a BYPASS STATUS and 2CH BYPASS STATUS menus. An alphabetical glossary of listening mode parameters begins in the next column and on page 5-20 of the MC-12 User Guide in the next column. An alphabetical glossary of all listening mode parameters begins on page 5-20 of the MC-12 User Guide (Rev 1).
The 2. 0 ENCODING parameter has been added to the DOLBY D STATUS menu. When the parameter value is MATRIX, matrix-encoding is present in the input signal. When the parameter value is NONE, no matrix-encoding is present in the input signal. BIT RATE (32 to 3072kbps)
The BIT RATE parameter has been added to the DOLBY D and dts(-ES) STATUS menus. It indicates the rate at which the input signal is encoded. A higher bit rate indicates that less compression was used during the encoding process. CENTER MIX LVL (-3. 0dB, -4. 5dB, -6. 0dB)
The CENTER MIX LVL parameter has been added to the DOLBY D STATUS menu. It indicates the relative level of the center channel that was used during the mixing process. DIALOG OFFSET (-31 to 0dB)
Note:
Remote control MENU arrows can be used to scroll listening mode STATUS menu parameters when the MAIN command bank is active. STATUS menu parameters are not adjustable.
The DIALOG OFFSET parameter has been added to the DOLBY D STATUS menu. It indicates the dialog normalization value applied to the input signal. Dolby Digital input sources reproduce dialog at 31 decibels below full-scale (-31dBFS). When the dialog normalization value of the incoming signal is higher or lower, the DIALOG OFFSET parameter indicates the amount of adjustment the unit makes to normalize dialog to -31dBFS.
