Solving network printing problems
Problem Cause Solution · Make sure the power cord is plugged in. · Make sure the electrical outlet is working. · Check to see if the other equipment on the same electrical outlet is working. · Make sure the MFP is turned on. · Press Clear to exit a function or the menus. The MFP is not in the Ready state. The network print port or print driver may be configured incorrectly.
Replace the network cable with a previously tested network cable. · Check to see if the print queue on the local workstation is paused. · Check to see if the print port and print driver are installed correctly. Consider removing and reinstalling the print driver and print port software. · If you are printing through a network print server, such as Windows 2000, NetWare 6. 5, LINUX/UNIX server, and so on, make sure the print queue is not paused. · Print the network setup page to verify that the protocol is enabled. See Print Network Setup Page for more information. · Enable the protocol through the control panel. See Using the MFP control panel and menus for more information. Contact your support person for assistance.
