Connect Power Cable Connect the power cable to the back of the monitor. Plug the power cable to a nearby power outlet. Connect Analog video cable (D-Sub cable) Make sure both monitor and computer are powered OFF. Connect the video cable ( D-Sub cable) to the computer, then to the monitor. Connect DVI cable (Optional) Connect the DVI cable from DVI output of computer to the DVI input of the monitor. Connect audio cable Connect one end of the audio cable to the back of the monitor and connect the other end to the computer's audio out port. Power-ON computer and monitor Power-ON the computer, then Power-ON the monitor. Windows users: Setting the Timing Mode (Resolution and Refresh Rate) Example: 1680 x 1050 @ 60 Hz (Recommended Resolution) Resolution Right-click on the Windows desktop > Properties > Settings > "Desktop Area". Refresh Rate (vertical frequency) See your graphic card's user guide for instructions. : decrease the width of screen image, : increase the width of screen image. Position : Adjust the horizontal and vertical position of the video. Position : : move screen to the right, : move screen to the left. Position : : move screen up, : move screen down. 6 Fine Tune : Adjust the delay time of data and clock. Sharpness : Adjust the clarity of a non-WXGA (1440x900) signal with or button. Setup Menu : Set up Language Select, Resolution Notice, OSD Position, OSD Time Out, and OSD Background. Setup Menu>Language Select : Allow users to choose from available languages. Setup Menu>Resolution Notice: Resolution Notice is to remind the user to set the resolution to 1680x1050 for best image quality when the resolution setting is not at 1680 x 1050. Choose "Enable": Every 30 seconds, it will show a window "For best picture quality change resolution to 1680 x 1050" to remind the user to set the resolution to 1680x150 for best image quality. Choose "Disable": It will not show a window to remind the user to set the resolution to 1680 x 1050.
