[. . . ] A rise in pressure would indicate a possible leak or moisture remaining in the system. With valves A and B closed, stop the vacuum pump. 4) Remove the hose from the vacuum pump and place it on the charging cylinder. Discharge the line at the manifold connection. 5) The system is now ready for final charging. Recharge as follows : 1) Refrigeration cycle systems are charged from the High-side. If the total charge cannot be put in the High-side, the balance will be put in the suction line through the access valve which you installed as the system was opened. 2) Connect the charging cylinder as shown in Fig. With valve C open, discharge the hose at the manifold connection. 3) Open valve A and allow the proper charge to enter the system. 4) If more charge is required, the high-side will not take it. HOW TO DRAIN (When using drain pipe) The air conditioner must be installed horizontally or tilted slightly to the outside for proper water drainage. On exceptionally hot and humid days the air conditioner may overflow condensed water. If the air conditioner is used in a hot and high humidity zone, exchange the HOLE RUBBER for the DRAIN PIPE. (See figure 17, figure 18. ) Press the drain pipe into the hole by pushing down and away from the fins to avoid injury BASE PAN 1 HOLE RUBBER hang BOTTOM push BASE PAN BOTTOM 2 DRAIN PIPE 3. 3 HOW TO USE THE REVERSIBLE INLET GRILLE The grille is designed to clean the filter both upward and downward. b A. BEFORE ATTACHING THE FRONT GRILLE TO THE CABINET, IF YOU WANT TO PULL OUT THE FILTER UPWARD; 1. Disassemble the inlet grille from the front grille with separating the hinged part by inserting a straight type screw-driver tip (b). Then, rotate the inlet grille 180 degrees and insert the hooks into bottom holes of the front grille. Insert the filter and attach the front grille to the cabinet. (a) (b) B. IF YOU WANT TO PULL OUT THE FILTER DOWNWARD; The grille is already designed for that way. (c) --12-- 3. 4 WINDOW REQUIREMENTS NOTE: All supporting parts should be secured to firm wood, masonry, or metal. The models of the specific area don't contain installation feit. This unit is designed for installation in standard double hung windows with actual opening widths from 29" to 41". The top and bottom window sashes must open sufficiently to allow a clear vertical opening of 18" from the bottom of the upper sash to the window stool.
