Accumulated dust increases the energy consumption: - Once a year, dust the refrigerating unit together with the metal grille of the heat exchanger at the back of the appliance. Cooling Because of the air circulation the temperature in the refrigerator compartment is not uniform. Just above the vegetable bins and at the back of the refrigerator compartment the air is colder. Defrosting After a longer period of operation a layer of frost or ice can build up on the cooling elements. Remove a frost layer of this kind from time to time with a plastic scraper. · Switch the appliance off to defrost. [. . . ] Clean the inside, equipment parts and outer walls with lukewarm water and a little detergent. Do not use abrasive or acid cleaners or chemical solvents.
