Listed, Canadian Listed (C-UL) and California State Fire Marshal Listed (CSFM) normally energized Fail-Safe device with state of the art electronic control circuitry. This device is designed for use with motorized doors incorporating a reversing feature safety edge to create an automated door closing system. "DO NOT" install this unit without a safety edge. Supervisory resistor shall be installed at all times. When connecting normally open device, install resistor at end-of-line for proper supervision. Observe proper polarity on motor sense (control voltage sample). See NFPA 80, National Fire Code and all other applicable standards and codes for proper placement of detector. A reversing safety edge shall be installed for use with this unit. DO NOT install this unit on a motorized door without a reversing safety edge. This unit is shipped standard with a safety timer. The auxiliary down limit must be installed to prevent safety timer release under normal operation. With door traveling toward it's open position, set auxiliary open limit to toggle before limit switch of operator. Improperly adjusted auxiliary switch will cause the door to continuously cycle. A normally open switch (closes when actuated) must be used for this connection. If a normally closed switch was provided, call tech support for alternate connections. This unit can be configured to function with a normally closed switch. (9) Proximity switches may also be used. (10) TB2 auxiliary 12VDC may be used to power 12VDC, 4 wire smoke detectors (4 maximum). TB2-1 (-), TB2-2 (+) Installation of all wiring must be performed in accordance with, but not limited to, the latest NFPA, UL and NEC standards and codes, as well as the requirements of the final authority having jurisdiction. In addition, all installations subject to the Canadian standards, shall be performed in accordance with the Canadian Electrical Code, Part I, with respect to wiring type, wiring gauge related to power capacity requirements and circuit length and wiring methods. 6 D. TEST PROCEDURES TO BE PERFORMED BY FACTORY AUTHORIZED PERSONNEL ONLY! [. . . ] If using N/C loop (TB1-2&3) , resistor must remain in TB1-4&5, etc. down limit switch not connected properly.
