The arrows at thetopof thescreen also showthe cross trackerror. They point in thedirection you must steer to getback on course. For example, if thearrow points to the right, you muststeer to the right to getback on course. These are activated automatically when a waypoint or route is recalled.

CROSS TRACK ERRORPER ARROW Each arrow standsfor . 10 nautical mile when the [MS-b is turned on for the very first time. In other words, if twoarrows are pointingto the right, then you are . 20 mile off course. The amount of cross track error per arrow is adjustablefrom . 01 nautical mile to 9. 99 nautical miles. To change this, press2, 2, ENT.
The currentcross track error per arrow is displayedat thetop of the screen. To change it, simply enter the new number usingthe numeric keypad. For example, to change to 0. 05 nautical mile per arrow, simplypress 0, 0, 5. As soon as the last key is pressed, the [MS-i0 acceptsthe entry and returns tothe position screen. The unit will now use the new numbers.
