[. . . ] Do not disassemble charger or battery; take it to a qualified serviceman when service or repair is required. Incorrect reassembly may result in a risk of electric shock or fire. To reduce risk of electric shock, unplug charger from outlet before attempting any maintenance or cleaning. Turning off controls will not reduce this risk. [. . . ] Handle the blades with extreme care to prevent cuts or injury from the blades. Disconnect the battery from the tool after each use and before attempting to perform inspection or maintenance. When not in use, always keep the tool in its holster. € When you charge a new battery or a battery which has not been used for a long period, it may not accept a full charge. This is a normal condition and does not indicate a problem. You can recharge the battery fully after discharging it completely a couple of times. € If you wish to charge two batteries, allow 15 minutes between chargings on the fast charger. 4) Hang the battery on your back at approximately waist height using the shoulder strap and the adjusting strap. Then buckle the waist belt after adjusting it to secure the battery. 5 & 6) Connect the female connector of the battery cord to the tool plug and the male plug of the battery cord to the battery connector. Then turn each screw clockwise to secure the connector and plug. Overload protector The overload protector on the tool automatically cuts out to break the circuit and the button pops out, whenever heavy work is prolonged. Release the switch trigger and wait 20 – 30 seconds before pressing the restart button to resume operation. 9) WARNING: Your finger should not be on the trigger when you press the restart button. CAUTION: • Do not operate the tool in such a way that the overload protector cuts out frequently. € Do not operate the tool while keeping the restart button pressed with tape, etc. They may cause damage to the overload protector and the motor. the battery 1402 also offers an overload protector.
