Important: the assembly of thIs product requIres two people. ALpIne Cot bed before assembling your product. . . [. . . ] Place the bed side rail in a safe place as this is not needed for the cot. step 6 -5- converting the cot into a day bed. Disassemble the cot removing all of the fittings. Retrieve the bed side rail from storage. Place one of the cot sides in a safe place as this will not be needed for the day bed. step 7 2 Attach one of the cot sides (2) and the bed side rail to one of the head/foot ends (1) using two dowels (B), two 57mm bolts (A) and the appropriate allen key (g). step 8 1 4 A G -6- 2 Attach the remaining head/foot (1) end to the cot side (2) and the bed side rail (4) using two dowels (B), two 57mm bolts (A) and the appropriate allen key (G). step 9 4 1 A G Secure the cot side (2) and the bed side rail (4) to the head/foot ends (1) using four 63mm bolts (C) and four side rail inserts (D). To tighten the 63mm bolts you will need to use the ball shaped end of the allen key (G) at an angle as shown. step 10 d NOTE: Please ensure that the cross pattern of the side rail insert (D) is visible before attempting to secure the head/foot ends(1). C G -7- step 11 Insert the four bed base brackets (E) into the holes in the side rails ensuring that the threaded end of the brackets are still visible. IMPORTANT - Use only the bottom position when in day bed form. e 3 Lower the bed base (3) onto the threaded ends of the bed base brackets (E) and secure using 4 18mm insert nuts (F) and the appropriate allen key (G). step 12 G F -8- The day bed is now fully assembled. Check that all of the fittings are fully tightened before use. Place the unused cot side in a safe place as this is not needed for the day bed. step 13 -9- InstRUCtIons FoR sAFe Use & mAIntenAnCe · The bottom position of the base is the safest. You should use the cot/bed in this position as soon as your baby is old enough to sit up. · Never leave anything in the cot/bed which could provide a foothold for your child to climb out or would present a danger of suffocation or strangulation. · All assembly fittings should be tightened properly and care should be taken to ensure that no screws are loose, a child could trap parts of the body, or clothing (e. g. ribbons, drawstrings, necklaces ) this could pose a risk of strangulation.
