Operation of the Water Pump at an altitude lower that the carburetor is jetted for may result in reduced performance, overheating, and serious engine damage caused by an excessively lean air/fuel mixture. Engine oil is a major factor affecting engine performance and service life. Non-detergent and 2- stroke engine oil are not recommended. Be sure to check the engine on a level surface with the engine stopped. Use Mcculloch 4-stroke oil, or an equivalent high detergent, premium quality motor oil certified to meet or exceed U. Automobile manufacturer's requirements for Service Classification SE or SF, (motor oil classification SE or SF will show this designation on the container. Remove the oil filler cap (A) /dipstick and wipe it clean (Fig. Check the oil level by inserting the dipstick in the filler neck without screwing it in.
