This cordless telephone features include Instant Talk and Auto Disconnect. Instant Talk allows you to answer a call by just removing the handset from the base so you don't have to waste time pushing buttons. Auto Disconnect allows you to hang up by simply returning the handset to the base. The Mega Clear true compander circuitry virtually eliminates background noise. [. . . ] If you enter a 3-digit area code number in the Area Code option, your local area code does not appear in Caller ID messages. When reviewing Caller ID messages, you will see only the local seven digit number. For calls received from outside your local area code, you will see a full 10-digit number. Note If your calling area requires 10-digit dialing, do not program this option. Language option can be used to choose the language of your display. You can select either English or French. When the pointer is at "Yes": A tone sounds and all stored Caller ID messages are deleted.
When the pointer is at "No": The display returns to the summary screen.
Notes · While using the "Delete All ?" screen, if no key is pressed for more than 20 seconds, an error tone sounds and the telephone returns to standby. · If you get an incoming call, the deleting operation is canceled and the telephone returns to standby so you can answer the call.

Calling a party from the Caller ID list
You can place a call from the Caller ID list. Your telephone stores up to 30 messages.

Storing Caller ID messages in Memory
Messages shown in the Caller ID list can be stored for memory dialing. Using the incoming call information (i. e. , Caller ID list), the phone number of the party on the Caller ID list can be stored in memory dialing.

Press or to select the memory location where you wish to store the name and number from the Caller ID list. Press the number keypad ( ) and select the number (0-9). The number is stored in memory, and the display returns to the Caller ID list.
Notes · If a message has already been stored in the selected memory location, a verification screen is displayed. The display returns to the Caller ID list. · You can not store a Caller ID message if no phone number appears in the message. [. . . ] Remind callers to leave a brief message. Delete some or all of the saved messages. · Adjust the speaker volume on the base unit.
