Volume Switch (for Headset) You can adjust the volume level by sliding the switch to the LOW or HI position. P/T Switch Slide the P/T Switch to select either Pulse or Tone dialing. 

Coil Cord

1. Connect the Handset Coil Cord into the Receiver Jack and Microphone Jack.  [. . . ] To Disconnect: Simply return the handset to the phone base,  press the hook swtich,  or press Flash.
