[. . . ] BEEP 2nd: When a double function key is pressed, a beep will be heard. Double function keys are: - When a preset button is pressed. Beep All: A beep is generated each time a key is pressed. Beep Off: The beep is disabled. Mask DPI or Mask All Mask DPI mode : The second station is muted if it has a different PI code to the current station. Mask All mode : Masks the second station (AF) if it has a different PI code or if it does not have a strong RDS signal. 19 019 Display Pressing the DISP button causes the display to show a selection of available information. The information depends on the current play mode. In radio mode: PS In CD mode: CD CT PS FREQ. PTY When receiving a station with RDS CT FREQ. NO CLOCK The information is displayed for several seconds after the last key press, after which time the display returns to its previous state. 20 020 Using the RDS functions Setting RDS Mode Press the AF button to switch the RDS mode on, the symbol letters AF appear on the display. The Programme Service name (PS) is displayed when an RDS signal is being received. The AF symbol starts blinking if the signal starts deteriorating. When emergency broadcasts are received ALARM will be shown on the display . When this happens the sound output level will be adjusted to the preset level automatically. Using PTY to Select Programme This function allows the radio to select stations by their programme type (PTY). When a programme type is selected, the radio starts to search for the selected PTY information and stops when the this information is found. If the selected PTY information is not detected the function automatically ends, PTY NONE will flash on the display, the unit beeps four times and then resumes normal operation. Press the PTY key to select from the following ranges. PTY music PTY speech PTY off The last selected PTY will be displayed as you cycle through the options above.
