Thank you for purchasing this Minolta digital camera. Please take the time to read through this instruction manual so you can enjoy all the features of your new camera. This manual contains information regarding products introduced before September, 2002. To obtain compatibility information for products released after this date, contact a Minolta Service Facility listed on the back cover of this manual. [. . . ] The "Basic" tab at the top of the menu will be highlighted. Use the left/right keys of the controller (2) to highlight the appropriate menu tab; the menus will change as the tabs are highlighted.
When the desired menu section is displayed, use the up/down key (2) to scroll through the menu options. Highlight the option whose setting needs to be changed.
Press the right controller key to display the settings; the current setting is indicated by an arrow. To return to the menu options, press the left key.
Use the up/down key to highlight the new setting.

ELECTRONIC KEYBOARD
The electronic keyboard is used to enter text for imprinting data or for naming new folders. The keyboard automatically appears when text needs to be entered. To enter text, simply use the four-way keys of the controller to highlight the desired character and then press the central button of the controller to enter it. Entering the case key will switch between upper and lower case; the change is immediately displayed on the keyboard. When complete, highlight the enter key and press the controller to enter the text and complete the operation. To cancel the operation, press the menu button. Text block Delete key Case key

To delete text, move the cursor into the text block at the top of the screen. Use the cursor to highlight the character to be deleted.
