[. . . ] You can tick one of the boxes to decide the way of rewriting an item (when there is a repeated item on your device and your desktop). The default is "Not synchronize these items". Click Apply to start the synchronization. 35 4. 5 Recovering Maps and Navigation Software Mio Recover allows you to recover map, navigation software and the applications on the device if any on your device hard drive is lost or damaged. NOTE: As all the existing data will be erased from the storage card during the recovering process, back up the files on your storage card to your computer before starting the recovering. If the recovering process is interrupted, be sure to start the whole recovering process all over again. 1. Turn on your computer and your device 2. Connect the mini-USB end of the USB cable to the bottom of your device and the other end to a USB port on your computer. 36 3. Start Mio Transfer by clicking Mio Transfer icon on the Windows Desktop. The Mio Transfer screen appears. NOTE: When connecting your computer and your device, the status icon on the lower right corner of the Windows Desktop will change from indicating that the connection to is successfully established. If you uplug the USB cable from your device, the icon will change back to . 4. Insert the Mio Map CD into the CD-ROM drive of your computer. Click Start to start the recovering process. The status bar will show the progress of file recovery. 37 7. When the recovering process is complete, reset your device. (Refer to Section 9. 1 for more information. ) 38 5 MP3 Player This chapter tells you how to play MP3 files on your device. 5. 1 Starting and Exiting MP3 Player The MP3 Player program turns your device into an MP3 player. It features: Playback of MP3 and wav files Basic playback controls such as play, pause, stop, next and previous Equalizer settings with 17 presets Ways of playback including single playback, repeat, single repeat, sampling playback, normal sequence and random sequence. Play list support Tap Multimedia Music to start the MP3 Player program. The control panel will appear on the screen where you can easily control the MP3 player by tapping the control buttons. 39 on the lower right of the screen. To go back to the Home screen, press Back button or press Home button on your device. 5. 2 Preparing the MP3 Files for You Device Before you can play MP3 files, you need to have the files ready on either your device hard drive or a storage card.
