Detailed instructions for use are in the User's Guide.

[. . . ] ¼ Before you apply a heat protection spray, use your hairdryer to `waft' the excess moisture from your hair. If you apply a styling product on very wet hair, you might dilute the product, making it less effective. Apply the heat protection spray evenly from the roots of your hair to the ends. ¼ Using sectioning clips take a small section of hair from the nape of the neck, and secure the rest of your hair away from it. [. . . ] Having shampooed your hair, ensure that it is rinsed thoroughly as shampoo that is left in the hair will leave it looking dull. Comb your hair through with a wide-tooth comb to remove tangles before styling. Ensure the concentrator nozzle is detached. Move the on/off switch to position to turn the hairdryer on. WIRING This product is fitted with a 13A (BS1363) plug. Check the voltage on the rating plate of your appliance corresponds with your house electricity supply which must be AC (Alternating current). If the socket outlets in your home are not suitable for the plug supplied with this appliance the plug should be removed and an appropriate one fitted. IMPORTANT: THE PLUG, REMOVED FROM THE MAINS LEAD, IF SEVERED, MUST BE DESTROYED AS A PLUG WITH BARED FLEXIBLE CORD IS HAZARDOUS IF ENGAGED INTO A LIVE SOCKET OUTLET. 5. Use the three heat and two speed settings to make the dryer operate faster and hotter, to help remove excess water from your hair. As your hair begins to dry, switch off the hair dryer and clip on one of the concentrator nozzles to begin styling your hair. The narrow nozzle must only be used with low and medium heat settings. If you are blow drying curly hair into a straight style, use the concentrator to direct air down into the shaft of hair. As you begin to style your hair during drying, turn the heat/speed dial and cooler setting. When your hair is dry, and you have achieved the desired style, press and hold the cool shot button . This will release a burst of cold air which will set your style in place. Always remember to switch the on/off button to the position, to turn your hairdryer off. CLEANING YOUR FILTER: Cleaning the air filter regularly will ensure that only clean air is used to dry your hair and that the dryer will not overheat and cut out. To remove the air filter, ensure the hair dryer is unplugged from the mains supply and hold the body of the dryer firmly while twisting the cover to release the filter. Take out the filter to clean away hair and lint using a vacuum cleaner. Ensure the filter is completely dry before refitting. To re-fit, locate the air filter into the filter cover and click the cover back into place. MAINS LEAD As a safety precaution, and to prolong the life of your appliance, do not wrap the mains lead around the straightener unit. Use the cable storage provided in the base unit. SAFETY INFORMATION When using your hairdryer, basic safety precautions should always be followed. [. . . ] This appliance is not intended for use by children or other persons without assistance or supervision, if their physical, sensory or mental capabilities prevent them from using it safely. Keep out of reach of children at all times. Do not place on surfaces that are likely to be damaged by heat. Ensure the filter is cleaned regularly.
