Connect to the wall socket Plug the unit to a live wall outlet. Sleep function 1 Press SLEEP/ALARM on the remote control during CD playback or radio broadcasting. 2 Then press SLEEP/ALARM to change display and sleep time in a sequence: 90 80 70 60 50 40 30 20 10 off. When the sleep function is activated, the player goes to standby mode the moment playback or broadcasting reaches the preset sleep time. Aerial connection Connect FM radio aerial plug to socket on back panel. Backlight illumination in standby mode Press any key (except ON/STANDBY) on the control panel or the remote control (when unit in standby mode) and the backlight for the display illuminates and stays for a 10-seconds for you to check the information on the display. 3 CD playback function 1 Press FUNCTION to select CD playback mode. [. . . ] Repeat button Press REPEAT to select between repeat one and repeat all modes in CD stop or play mode; once for repeat one mode, twice for repeat all and three times to exit. Program button To program tracks: 1 Press MEMORY in CD stop mode; 2 Press SKIP/SERCH or numeric buttons to select location to share the first track 3 Press MEMORY again the display will advance to the next track, repeat above steps to store. 4 After programming is finished, press PLAY/PAUSE to enter program RDS operation of digital tuner When the radio stops at a radio station which supports RDS, the LCD shows the radio name, program type and radio text step-by-step. You can also select the displayed text by pressing the PTY button. The display toggles as follows: Station name Program type Radio text Frequency Station name.
