Manual abstract: user guide MORPHY RICHARDS IB75400
Detailed instructions for use are in the User's Guide.
[. . . ] · Do not leave the pad in contact with the skin for excessive periods of time. · Overlong application at a high setting can result in skin burns. · Should the pad feel hot, switch down to the next lowest heat setting or switch off. · Never place additional objects such as hot water bottles or pillows on the heated area. [. . . ] It is normal for the lead from the heat pad to the switch to become warm as this is part of the heated protection circuit extended to the switch.
Electrical requirements
Check that the voltage on the rating label of your appliance corresponds with your house electricity supply which must be A. C. If the socket outlets in your home are not suitable for the plug supplied with this appliance, the plug should be removed and the appropriate one fitted. WARNING: The plug removed from the mains lead, if severed, must be destroyed as a plug with bared flexible cord is hazardous if engaged into a live socket outlet. Should the fuse in the 13 amp plug require changing, a 3 amp BS1362 fuse must be fitted. This appliance does not need to be earthed. It is a double insulated product.
Action in case of activation
In the event of the OVERHEAT SYSTEM operating, the heat pad will cease to function and must be returned to the service department address given in this leaflet. WARNING: No attempt should be made to repair the heat pad or have it repaired locally and the switch supplied must never be replaced other than by the manufacturers since the specialised components are not generally available. The fact that this heat pad incorporates the overheat system does not absolve the user from observing these instructions.
Before use
Before using this appliance ensure that the voltage indicated on the product corresponds with the mains voltage in your home. If you are in any doubt about your supply, ask your electrical dealer or local electricity company.
