[. . . ] · Do not insert pins or any sharp objects into the blanket. · Do not tuck the heated part of material under the mattress. · Do not use if the blanket is wet. · Avoid pressing creases or folds into the blanket. [. . . ] Place the blanket directly on the mattress and ensure that a space of 10-15cm (4-6 inches) is left between the bottom edge of the blanket and mattress. · WARNING: Ensure the blanket is not folded, rucked or creased. When in use do not cover with pillows. Fitting instructions · Each blanket is fitted with 3 tie tapes. · Position the blanket on the bed ensuring the pillow area is clear. · Pass the first tape / under the coner of the mattress. · Thread up through the centre eyelet. · Pass under the adjascent corner and tie off to oposite loop. · Repeat for second tape ¤ at opposite end of the blanket. · Pass the centre tape < underneath the mattress and tie to opposite loop. · If the blanket is stretched too tightly, not allowing for `give' of mattress when the bed is occupied, distortion of the edges may take place. A / < ¤ Tie off 10-15 cm 4-6 inches 4 75142 rev1 17/3/06 10:10 AM Page 5 How to use 1 Ensure the blanket is fitted to the bed correctly, see diagram A, page 4 2 Plug the power lead into the closest socket, using an extension lead if needed to ensure that the lead is not stretched. Machine washing 1 Unplug the blanket from the power socket. 2 Disconnect the control switch and cord from the blanket by lifting the locking lever over the raised button and pull apart. 4 Gently stretch the blanket back to it's original shape and size before drying WITHOUT using clothes pegs on the wired area of the blanket. (See instrucions for tumble drying) Preheating the bed 1 Move the heat setting on the control switch to heat level 2 or 3, depending on the level of the heat required. Allow approximately 60-90 minutes for the blanket to heat the bed thoroughly, although this time may vary depending on the room temperature and type of bedding used. Tumble drying 1 Unplug the blanket from the power socket. 2 Disconnect the control switch and cord from the blanket by lifting the locking lever over the raised button and pull apart. 3 Tumble dry on the LOW heat setting, following the drying under `machine washing' section, point 4. B All night use 1 Move the heat setting on the control switch to heat level 1. · This setting will provide safe and comfortable heat to sleep on all night. · This setting can be used to air the bed. WARNING: Always ensure that the heat setting is moved to the OFF position when you get up the next day, or after airing the bed. Washing instructions · Do NOT dry clean · Do NOT iron WARNING:Before washing ensure that you detach all the controls from the blanket. · Only use a washing machine with a drum large enough to take the blanket without forcing it in. 1 Measure the blanket so it can be stretched back to its original size whilst wet. Hand washing 1 Unplug the blanket from the power socket.
