This reminder is provided to call the CATV system installer's attention to Article 82040 of the NEC that provides guidelines for proper grounding and, in particular, specifies that the cable ground shall be connected to the grounding system of the building, as close as possible to the point of cable entry as practical.

Left/right audio outputs to connect the DCT700 to a TV, VCR, or A/V receiver. Composite video output to connect the DCT700 to a TV, VCR, or A/V receiver. For audio or video outputs, use cables equipped with RCA-type connectors. Disconnect power from the DCT700 before connecting or changing cable connections.
