Page ii Water Sensor Quick Start Guide Introduction Congratulations on your purchase of the Motorola Wireless Water Sensor. Your Water Sensor can monitor the presence of water in areas such as a sump pump, basement/cellar, beach house, under sinks, and water pipes. This Quick Start Guide describes how to set up and troubleshoot your Water Sensor. Controlling Your Sensor Using your computer and the Gateway, you locally manage your home environment with the Motorola Home Monitoring & Control System. When configured, the system can notify you of any new events by sending an e-mail when your Water Sensor detects an event. An event is defined as a change from a wet or dry state where the tip of the water sensor probe is located. How It Works The Water Sensor detects the presence or absence of water and notifies you when a water leak or water deficit is detected. When triggered, it sends a notification to your Gateway.
