PC Health Status CPU/ System Temperature, CPU FAN/ SYS FAN1 Speed, CPU Vcore, 3. 3V, 5V, 12V These items display the current status of all of the monitored hardware devices/ components such as CPU voltage, temperatures and all fans' speeds. 3-17 M S-7530 M ainboard BIOS Setting Password W hen you select this function, a message as below will appear on the screen: Type the password, up to six characters in length, and press <Enter>. The password typed now will replace any previously set password from CMOS memory. You will be prompted to confirm the password. Retype the password and press <Enter>. You may also press <Esc> to abort the selection and not enter a password. To clear a set password, just press <Enter> when you are prompted to enter the password. A message will show up confirming the password will be disabled. Once the password is disabled, the system will boot and you can enter Setup without entering any password. W hen a password has been set, you will be prompted to enter it every time you try to enter Setup. This prevents an unauthorized person from changing any part of your system configuration. 3-18 BIOS Setup Cell Menu Important Change these settings only if you are familiar with the chipset. This field will appear after you installed the CPU which support speedstep technology. System Clock Mode This item is used to switch the following two items. Adjust CPU FSB Frequency (M Hz) When the System Clock Mode sets to [Linked] or [Unlinked], the field is adjustable. This item allows you to select the CPU Front Side Bus clock frequency (in MHz). 3-19 M S-7530 M ainboard Adjusted CPU Frequency (M Hz) It shows the adjusted CPU frequency (FSB x Ratio). Advance DRAM Configuration Press <Enter> to enter the sub-menu and the following screen appears. DRAM Timing Mode This field has the capacity to automatically detect all of the DRAM timing. If you set this field to [Manual], some fields will appear and selectable. CAS Latency(CL) W hen the DRAM Timing M ode sets to [Manual], the field is adjustable. This controls the CAS latency, which determines the timing delay (in clock cycles) before SDRAM starts a read command after receiving it. tRCD W hen the DRAM Timing Mode sets to [Manual], the field is adjustable.
