8. Assemble the spring align wires through the front and rear rows of spring tines. Bend the ends of the wires to secure them. Assemble angle mounting brackets to tine shield using four 5/16" x 1" carriage bolts, 5/16" lock washers and 5/16" hex nuts. See figure 6.

11. "FAST-ATTACH" TRACTORS ONLY Assemble mounting arms to inside of angle mounting brackets using four 5/16" x 1" carriage bolts, 5/16" lock washers and 5/16" hex nuts. Fasten through front set of holes in mounting arms . See figure 7.

FIGURE 9 14. Apply a light coating of oil to the axle. Assemble a 5/8" washer, the wheel (long end of hub first) and another 5/8" washer onto axle. See figure 10.

ATTACHING DETHATCHER TO TRACTOR
26. Move tractor onto a smooth, level surface. Stop engine and let muffler cool before removing dethatcher. The following instructions apply to both the Fast-Attach and standard tractor frame. Pull out on dethatcher locking pins and pivot end of pin away from hole. Slide the dethatcher's hitch brackets onto the shoulder bolts in the tractor frame or frame brackets. Align the hole in the hitch bracket with the hole in the tractor frame or frame bracket and insert the end of the locking pin. See figure 17.
