Take the unit to an authorized music hall service center for inspection. Do not touch the unit, power cord, or plug with wet hands.

Placement
Use common sense when placing the a50. 2. Always place it on a firm, level surface. Make sure that the shelf or cabinet can support the weight. Ensure that there is adequate ventilation around all sides of the unit. Avoid placing the a50. 2 where it may be subject to excessive heat, such as near a heat register. For best performance, avoid placing the a50. 2 where it may be subject to vibration, such as near a speaker.

integrated amplifier
Connect your source components to the appropriate inputs on back of the a50. 2. Pay careful attention to match the right (red) and left (black) outputs from your source components to the right (red) and left (black) inputs on the a50. 2. Connect to the ipod input on the front using a 3. 5mm stereo mini-plug. When connecting a turntable to the phono input, connect the RCA's as described above. Connect the turntable's ground wire to the ground screw (GND) and move the cartridge switch to the correct position; MM for moving-magnet cartridges or MC for moving-coil. If unsure of the correct cartridge setting consult the literature accompanying your cartridge or your dealer. The cartridge switch sets the correct loading and level of amplification for the cartridge. Do not flip the cartridge switch with the a50. 2 powered on.
Pre Out
This output is always active and can be used to connect the a50. 2 to a subwoofer or additional power amplifier. Simply connect this output to the input on your subwoofer or amplifier.
Speaker Outputs
To avoid damage to the a50. 2, make sure it is NOT plugged into an AC outlet while connecting up or disconnecting speaker wire to the speaker outputs. The a50. 2 has one pair of speaker outputs on the back labeled SPEAKER OUT; RIGHT and LEFT. Using a suitable speaker wire, connect the right speaker to the RIGHT SPEAKER OUT and the left speaker to the LEFT SPEAKER OUT.
