[. . . ] Place the microphone capsule close to the mouth to a favorable audio position. Bend the boom and headset slightly for optimum fit. Connect the Mini-XLR or 3. 5mm phono plug of the microphone cable to the input jack of the bodypack transmitter or power supply adaptor. When using a power supply adaptor, connect it to the microphone input of an audio preamp that provides phantom power. The entire HM-10 assembly has been moisture-proofed to guard against deterioration during use. After use in a high moisture application such as aerobics or a stage performance, remove the foam screen, wipe the headset with a dry soft cloth and permit it to air-dry. Do not store the unit in a closed space (e. g. , a plastic bag) until all moisture has evaporated, and avoid conditions of extremely high humidity. This will help maintain the HM-10's excellent performance. While the HM-10 is not unusually sensitive to the outside environment, extremes in temperature can be harmful. Avoid, for example, leaving the microphone in direct sunlight for long periods of time.
