Playback/Adding to favorites
Adding to favorites does not copy the original picture data and move it. The filename will be added to the favorites folder. Favorite Pictures Playback uses the filename from that favorites folder and playbacks the picture from there. Deleting a picture (A 26, 67, 111) while in playback will delete the original picture that has been added to favorites, so be careful while deleting pictures.

Movies
Recording Movies
To shoot movies with sound recorded via the built-in microphone, select shooting mode and follow the steps below.

Press r to display the favorite menu, use the multi selector to choose D and press k.
Exposure count display shows maximum total length of movie that can be recorded.

Press the shutter-release button all the way down to start recording.
Camera focuses on subject in center of frame. A progress bar at the bottom of the monitor shows the amount of recording time remaining.

To end recording, press the shutter-release button all the way down a second time.

Recording Movies
Movies
· Flash mode (A 28) and exposure compensation (A 32) can only be used for time-lapse (A 72) movie. Macro mode (A 31) is available in all modes. · Flash mode, macro mode, and exposure compensation settings cannot be applied or changed while movies are being recorded. Apply or change settings as necessary before movie recording begins. · Optical zoom cannot be applied while movies are recorded. Digital zoom cannot be used just before recording a movie, but up to 2× digital zoom can be applied while movies are recorded (except for time lapse movie). · With the exception of Time-lapse movie mode, the angle of view (field of view) when shooting movies is smaller than when shooting still pictures.

During Recording
The movie is being recorded from when the movie shooting was terminated to when the shooting screen appears. Do not open the battery-chamber / memory card slot cover. Removing the memory card or the battery during the movie recording may result in loss of the movie data or damage to the camera or the memory card.

· Movie options, Electronic VR or Autofocus mode can be changed (A 70). · When Movie options is set to Time-lapse movieP, movies are recorded without sound.

The Movie Menu
Movie options, Electronic VR or Autofocus mode settings can be changed from the movie menu. Press d in movie mode to display the movie menu and use the multi selector to modify and apply settings.
