Manual abstract: user guide NINTENDO DS ART ACADEMY

Detailed instructions for use are in the User's Guide.

[. . . ] Please see Registering a Player in the Instruction Booklet included with the Game Card for more information. Completely read this Operations manual and the Instruction booklets included with the Nintendo DS and Game Card before using this product. Keep these manuals for future reference. This accessory can be used with either a Nintendo DS, Nintendo DS Lite, or Nintendo DSi system. [. . . ] NOTE: If the plastic tab doesn't completely pull out of the battery compartment the meter may not operate. If the meter does not work after pulling the plastic tab out, remove the battery cover and battery and check to see if part of the plastic tab is stuck in the battery compartment. If necessary, carefully remove any part of the tab left in the battery compartment. Remove the plastic tab by pulling down and straight out of the meter. You can carry the Activity Meter accessory in a pocket or bag, as shown below. You can also attach it with a strap (sold separately). NOTE: If using a strap, the meter should be tucked in a pocket or other location where it doesn't hang loosely. IMPORTANT: Do not carry the meter in your back pocket. Sitting on it could result in injury to the user or damage to the meter. The optional clip connector can be used to attach it to a belt, shoulder strap, or your dog's collar, as shown below. See the next page, Attaching the Clip Connector, for more information. It is recommended that you transfer data to the Game Card every day. A single meter can only record the details of one individual. The amount of data that can be saved to the meter (minute-by-minute data) changes according to the amount of time walked. If you walked for an extremely long time, you may be unable to save all of your weekly data. (Up to 12 hours of walking a day can be saved as weekly data. The level of battery charge cannot be checked, however if the Indicator LED does not flash when the Activity Meter accessory is shaken, the battery is dead and should be replaced. NOTE: If the battery in the meter is getting low on power, a battery replacement warning may appear on the Nintendo DS screen when using infrared communication between the Personal Trainer: Walking Game Card and the meter, as shown below. If this happens, replace the battery in the meter as soon as possible. Follow this procedure when you would like to transfer data to the Game Card: 1. Select CHECK YOUR RHYTHM from the game menu. Place your Activity Meter accessory so that the infrared sensors point at each other as shown at right. [. . . ] Make sure the plus (+) side faces outwards. Make sure the fingers on one edge of the battery cover are correctly aligned with the slots in the meter. Tighten the screw, making sure the clip connector is securely fastened. Make an infrared connection with the Personal Trainer: Walking Game Card to correct the clock, which resets when you replace the battery. [. . . ]
