RH strut tower DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE INSPECTION START . . Engine coolant temperature sensor harness connector NEF401 Engine coolant temperature sensor connector CHECK POWER SUPPLY. Turn ignition switch to ``LOCK'' position. Disconnect engine coolant temperature sensor harness connector. Turn ignition switch to ``ON'' position. Check voltage between engine coolant temperature sensor connector terminal V and ground with CON2 SULT-II or tester. Voltage: Approximately 4. 9V OK . NG c Repair harness or connectors. SEF541P Engine coolant temperature sensor connector CHECK GROUND CIRCUIT. Turn ignition switch to ``LOCK'' position. Check harness continuity between engine coolant temperature sensor connector terminal V and engine 1 ground. OK NG c Repair harness or connectors. SEF542P . CHECK COMPONENT (Engine coolant temperature sensor). Refer to ``COMPONENT INSPECTION'' on next page. OK . NG c Replace engine coolant temperature sensor. Disconnect and reconnect harness connectors in the circuit. Trouble is not fixed. . Check ECM pin terminals for damage and check the connection of ECM harness connector. Reconnect ECM harness connector and retest. . It contains a pulse generator which provides a vehicle speed signal to the speedometer. The speedometer then sends a signal to the ECM. AEC110 Diagnostic Trouble Code No. [. . . ] Check voltage between combination meter terminal V and body ground. 5 Voltage: Battery voltage OK NG c Check the following: q Harness for open or short-circuit between combination meter and ignition switch. q 10A fuse If NG, repair or replace harness or fuse. .
