This manual was prepared to help you understand the operation and maintenance of your vehicle so that you may enjoy many miles (kilometers) of driving pleasure. Tuning Memory change (radio): Push the tuning switch ( or ) for less than 1. 5 seconds to change the radio frequency. Seek tuning (radio): Push the tuning switch ( or ) for more than 1. 5 seconds to seek the next or previous radio station. FF, REW: Push the tuning switch ( or ) for less 1. 5 seconds to return to the beginning of the present program or skip to the next program. Push several times to skip back or skip through programs. To stop the FF or REW function, press the or button for less than 1. 5 seconds again. CAUTION Always properly tighten the antenna rod during installation or the antenna rod may break during vehicle operation. CAUTION Keep the antenna as far away as possible from the electronic control modules. 4-26 Heater, air conditioner and audio systems Keep the antenna wire more than 8 in (20 cm) away from the electronic control system harnesses. Do not route the antenna wire next to any harness. Adjust the antenna standing-wave ratio as recommended by the manufacturer. Connect the ground wire from the CB radio chassis to the body. Do not ground electrical accessories directly to the battery terminal. Doing so, will bypass the variable voltage control system and the vehicle battery may not charge completely. Refer to "Variable voltage control system" in the "Maintenance and do-it-yourself" section later in this manual. Use electrical accessories with the engine running to avoid discharging the vehicle battery.
