If you have a water resistant watch, know that the water resistancy is attained using rubber or plastic seals which will deteriorate under normal conditions and reduce the water resistancy of your watch. These seals should be checked by an authorized jeweler at least every two years to ensure the rated water resistancy. Do not expose your watch to extreme temperatures (over 60ºC or 140ºF, under -10ºC or 14ºF). (Be sure to screw your crown back into the 1st position to ensure that your watch is fully water resistant) ROTATE Bezel so desired countdown time increment aligns with minute hand in it's current position. When the moon hand is in either the Full Moon (12 o'clock) or New Moon (6 o'clock) position the high tides will be higher and low tide will be lower. When the moon hand is in either the first quarter (3 o'clock) or the last quarter (9 o'clock position) the difference between the high and lowtides will be less drastic.
