Also voice allows you to switch from voice mode to data (or fax) mode during a call. Key in or search for the desired phone number and press OK. If you selected Also voice in step 2, press Options to switch between voice and data/fax mode during a call, select Voice Mode or Data Mode (or Fax Mode) and press OK. Receiving a data or fax call
You can answer a data or fax call in the normal way, even if the phone keypad is locked.
Service command editor
You can send service requests to your service provider, such as the activation commands of network services.
Message settings
The message settings affect the sending of text messages. Press Menu, select Messages and Message settings.
Profile
The profile is a collection of the settings required for sending text messages. If more than one profile set is supported by your SIM card, select the set you want to change.

Making a data or fax call
Menu functions
You can, for example, send a text message as a fax (provided that this function is supported by your service provider) by simply selecting the profile in which you have defined the proper settings for fax transmissions. Each profile has its own submenu: · Message centre number to save the phone number of the message centre needed for sending text messages. Key in or edit the phone number and confirm with OK. · Messages sent as to request the network to convert your Text messages into alternative formats Fax, Paging or E-mail (network service). In order to receive a converted message, the recipient must have the appropriate equipment, for example a fax machine. · Message validity to set the length of time that your text messages are saved at the message centre while attempts are made to deliver them (network service). · Rename sending profile to edit or change the profile name.
Common
· Delivery reports to request the network to send delivery reports on your messages (network service). · Reply via same centre to request the network to route the reply message via your own message centre (network service). · Character support you can select the Unicode option of Character support to send messages using specal characters, such as ñ, in Romance and Slavic languages or Russian characters to a compatible phone, if supported by your network.

Your phone registers the phone numbers of missed, dialled and received calls and the approximate length and cost of your calls. The phone registers missed and received calls only if the network supports these functions, the phone is switched on and it is within the network's service area. When you press Options in the Missed calls, Received calls or Dialled numbers menu, you can view the date and time of the call, erase the phone number from the list or view, edit and save the number in the phone book. Select · Missed calls to view the last 10 phone numbers from which somebody has tried to call you with no success (network service). Tip: When a note about missed calls is being displayed, press List to see the list of phone numbers.
