When you disconnect the power cord of any enhancement, grasp and pull the plug, not the cord. Charge the battery This headset has an internal, nonremovable, rechargeable battery. Do not attempt to remove the battery from the device as you may damage the headset. Connect the charger cable to the headset. The indicator light is red during charging. If the indicator light is not red, check the charger connection. If charging does not start, disconnect the charger, plug it in again, and retry. Charging the battery fully may take up to 3 hours. When the battery is fully charged, the indicator light turns blue. Disconnect the charger from the headset and wall outlet. The fully charged battery has power for up to 7. 5 hours of talk-time and music playing time, and up to 150 hours of standby time. However, the times may vary when used with different mobile phones or other compatible Bluetooth devices, usage settings, usage styles, and environments. When battery power is low, the headset beeps each minute, and the indicator light flashes red. Recharge the battery. Switch the headset on or off To switch on, press and hold the multifunction key until you hear a beep and the indicator light starts to flash blue. To connect the headset to the paired phone or music player that you have last used with it, press the multifunction key. For more information, see Reconnect the headset, p. To switch off, press and hold the multifunction key until you hear a long beep. Pair the headset Pair with a phone with music player feature If your phone has a compatible music player feature, you can use the headset to make and answer calls and listen to music from the phone. Press and hold the multifunction key until the indicator light alternately flashes blue and red. Activate the Bluetooth feature on the phone, and set the phone to search for Bluetooth devices. See the user guide of your phone for instructions. Select the headset (Nokia BH-501) from the list of found devices. Your phone should ask for a Bluetooth passcode. [. . . ] Battery information Your device is powered by a rechargeable battery. The battery can be charged and discharged hundreds of times, but it will eventually wear out. Recharge your battery only with Nokia approved chargers designated for this device. Unplug the charger from the electrical plug and the device when not in use. [. . . ]
