Charging the battery fully may take up to 2 hours. When the battery is fully charged, the indicator light turns green. Disconnect the charger from the headset and the wall outlet. The fully charged battery has power for up to 8 hours of talktime, up to 200 hours of standby time, and up to 8 hours of music playing time. However, the times may vary when used with different mobile phones or other compatible Bluetooth devices, usage settings, usage styles, and environments. When the battery is running out of power, the headset beeps every 20 seconds, and the indicator light flashes red. Recharge the battery. Switch the headset on or off To switch on, press and hold the power key. The headset beeps, and the indicator light briefly flashes green. When the headset is connected to a paired phone and is ready for use, the indicator light flashes blue slowly. 7 Get started To switch off, press and hold the power key. The headset beeps, and the indicator light briefly flashes red. Pair the headset Pair with a phone that has a compatible music player feature If your phone has a compatible music player feature, you can use the headset to make and answer calls and to listen to music from the phone. Press and hold the power key of the headset until the indicator light flashes blue rapidly. Activate the Bluetooth feature on the phone, and set the phone to search for Bluetooth devices. See the user guide of your phone for instructions. Select the headset (Nokia BH-500) from the list of found devices. Your phone should ask for a Bluetooth passcode. Enter the passcode (0000) on your phone. In some phones you may need to make the Bluetooth connection separately after pairing. You only need to pair the headset with your phone once. If the pairing is successful and the headset is connected with your phone, the indicator light of the headset flashes blue. Pair with a phone and a music player If your phone does not have a compatible music player feature, you can separately pair the headset with your phone and a compatible music player. Always try to keep the battery between 15°C and 25°C (59°F and 77°F). A device with a hot or cold battery may not work temporarily, even when the battery is fully charged.
