If your phone does not have a music player feature, you also need to pair the headset with your music player. Note: Parts of the headset are magnetic. Metallic materials may be attracted to the headset. Do not place credit cards or other magnetic storage media near the headset, because information stored on them may be erased. The BH-601 headset is intended for use with the AC-4 and DC-4 chargers. Warning: Use only batteries and chargers approved by Nokia for use with this particular enhancement. The use of any other types may invalidate any approval or warranty, and may be dangerous. Enter the passcode (0000) on your phone. In some phones you may need to make the Bluetooth connection separately after pairing. You only need to pair the headset with your phone once. If the pairing is successful and the headset is connected with your phone, the blue indicator light of the headset flashes. You can now start to use the headset. Pair with a phone and a music player If your phone does not have a compatible music player feature, you can separately pair the headset with your phone and a compatible music player. Ensure that the headset and the music player are off. Press and hold the headset multifunction button for at least 10 seconds until the indicator light flashes blue and red. Copyright © 2006 Nokia. Pair and connect the headset with your phone in the same way as when the phone has a music player feature. Once the phone is paired with the headset, switch off the headset. Switch off the phone, or turn off the Bluetooth feature on your phone. Press and hold the headset multifunction button for at least 10 seconds until the indicator light flashes blue and red. [. . . ] To mute or unmute the microphone during a call, press the volume up and volume down buttons at the same time. To switch a call from the headset to your phone or vice versa, briefly press the volume up button and the track forward button at the same time, or use the respective function in your phone. Listen to music When you switch on the headset, it tries to connect to a music player with which you have paired it. When the headset is connected to a phone but not to a music player, the headset can only be used to make and receive calls if your phone does not have a compatible music player feature.
